Your practice stays with you

This policy describes the World Peace Pathway iPhone and Android app and this website. It matches what the current app actually does. We do not run ads. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.

What stays on your device

Practice data is stored on the phone by default: meditation completions, favorites, notes, reminder choices, journal and peace-deed entries, sit-circle drafts, Grow ladder progress, the next-10 offline download list, Ask Coach history, and the daily question cap. Your account for this build — name, email, and a hashed password — also lives on the device. The signed-in session uses the phone’s secure store when available.

Cloud sign-in (AWS Cognito) is planned and is not on in this version. Until it is, creating an account on one phone does not copy that account to another phone.

Name and email at sign-up

When you create an account you enter a name (optional to keep using the app) and an email and password. Those values are saved on the device so you can sign in again. We do not sell them.

Ask Coach questions

Clear how-to questions about the app (“where is Coach?”, “how do I start a circle?”) are answered on the device from the bundled app guide. Practice questions — meaning, feelings, breath, Higher Self, peace — are sent to our Ask Coach backend on Amazon Web Services (a Lambda function in us-east-1 that uses Amazon Bedrock). The request contains the text of your question and an app token. Saved questions and answers in My questions stay on the device and are not uploaded.

Microphone and speech

If you tap the microphone in Ask Coach, the app uses the microphone so you can speak a question. On iPhone, Apple’s on-device speech recognition turns that speech into text. You can stop, edit the words, and then Ask. We do not send the recording to a paid speech service.

Face ID or Touch ID

If you turn it on, Face ID or Touch ID unlocks the app on that device. The biometric pattern never leaves the phone. The app only stores a yes/no preference.

Offline meditations

The next 10 path meditations can download to the app’s files on this phone, usually over Wi-Fi, so you can sit without a connection. Those files are the same public meditation audio the player already streams. Download on cellular is off unless you turn it on. You can remove the files from Profile.

Share my practice with my coach

This toggle is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, the app stores a short practice summary on the device for a future account sync (today’s sit / deed / reflect, days you showed up, Grow rung, and path completions). In this version that summary is not posted to a server. Admins cannot look up a person who has not opted in.

Photos

The app may ask for photo-library permission later if you choose to add a picture, such as a profile photo. This build’s Profile does not upload a portrait. Home does not show a count of meditators.
